DJ Shadow - Action Adventure - (Vinyl LP)

Released in the autumn of 2023, Action Adventure is the acclaimed eighth solo studio album from the legendary king of instrumental hip-hop and sampling wizardry, DJ Shadow. Eschewing high-profile guest vocalists, Shadow constructs this project as a deeply personal, inward-looking dialogue between himself and his monumental, world-famous record collection.

Sonically expanding across Abstract Hip-Hop, Electro, Synth-Wave, and Downtempo Electronic, the double album feels like a cinematic tour through dark synth soundscapes and forgotten musical archives. Shadow weaves a nostalgic, fast-paced atmosphere, capturing the exact feeling of browsing through dusty VHS cassettes and vintage synths. From the cosmic, soaring energy of the lead single "Ozone Scraper" to the neon-tinted vocal chops of "You Played Me," the record stands as a masterclass in dynamic rhythm building.

2LP, black vinyl pressing in gatefold with obi strip.
