"Taeko Onuki’s Copine. showcases sophisticated synth-pop and city-pop with European influences. Featuring arrangements by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yasuaki Shimizu, plus stellar session musicians, the album balances polished production with Ohnuki's delicate vocals and cosmopolitan sensibility. The rhythm section and subtle grooves create a refined yet warm listening experience, making it essential for '80s Japanese city-pop enthusiasts." - Great Tracks
